WordPress 4.6 “Pepper” Update

August WordPress Update:
Version 4.6 “Pepper”

WordPress 4.6, aka “Pepper” named after jazz legend Pepper Adams, was just released to the public. The second major release of the year, it brings some exciting new improvements enhancing performance and bringing added stability. We strongly recommend that you update your site(s) immediately.

Our developers have checked it out and compiled some of the highlights which you can expect from WordPress 4.6:

WordPress 4.6 is now using the same font as your device. This will make WordPress load faster and improve overall performance. This could make you feel like your device and WordPress are one.

Improvements in 4.6 becomes even smarter. WordPress will now let you know if you’ve added a broken link to your post. And if you lost your internet connection while writing, the Improved AutoSave saves your drafts to your browser. So when you return to edit, WordPress will now notify you when there’s a more recent draft, so nothing is lost.

In addition to everything you’re seeing, WordPress 4.6 includes a pack of improvements in performance and stability. This helps you move faster, whether you’re adding a theme, adding or updating your WordPress plugins or navigating the dashboard.

But there’s more to this update, you can check out the details here.

And that’s it! We hope this article gives you a good idea on what’s new in WordPress 4.6. We are particularly excited about the editor enhancement and back-end improvements. What are you excited about?
