Results Tracking: Setting up Goals in Google Analytics

Now that we’ve built you a functional site, the next step is often conversion tracking. Now what is Conversion Tracking?

Definition: Conversion tracking can help you see how effective traffic on your site can lead to valuable customer activity, such as website purchases, phone calls, app downloads, newsletter sign-ups and more.

By setting up Goals in Google Analytics, you’ll be able to understand how well your site or app converts via the various ways (goals) you define as a successful conversion.

Thanks to Google Analytics, we now have a relatively inexpensive way of setting Goals and gaining insight into powerful analytics data. Properly configured Goals will allow Google Analytics to provide you with potentially valuable information, such as the number of conversions and the conversion rate for your site or app that will allow you to determine your return on investment (ROI) or return on ad spend (ROAS).
